Earle Class

My name is Mrs Pierce and I am the classteacher for Earle Class.  Our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Ledlie.

Welcome back to the summer term (although the weather doesn’t feel like it!). Hopefully you  all had a restful Easter break and are looking forward to sharing some exciting learning with your children.

This Term's Topics…

Out Topic this half term is called “Ourselves” and has a strong Science focus. We will be learning all about our bodies and how they are different and similar to other animals. We will also think about how we take care of our bodies – keeping ourselves clean and healthy.

In History we will be discovering how we kept ourselves clean in the past – especially how the process of washing has changed since Victorian times. Our school trip to the Victorian Manor Farm will help us explore and put into practise what we find out! More details to follow!

Our RE topic about is all about the Creation story and the children will be exploring how it feels to create something that they are proud of.

Our Art project allows the children opportunities to learn how to draw and paint portraits. We will have lots of practise of drawing our friends and ourselves before we attempt a portrait of a very special lady who is celebrating an important birthday this year!
