I am the class teacher for Armstrong Class and our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Reeves.  Mrs Saunders will continue to work with the class on Wednesdays and Thursdays this term.

This Term’s Topic…

This half term, our topic is Victorian Wash Day.

We will be learning about Queen Victoria, and what life was like in Victorian times, and how it is different from life today. The topic will culminate with a trip to Manor Farm (dressed as Victorians!) where the children will get to experience first-hand what life was like. As well as a farm, there is school room, a laundry and farmhouse so the children can really get a feel for Victorian life! 

In Science we will learn about plants and animals in our local environment, involving lots of exploration of our school grounds so let’s hope the weather improves!

In ICT we will be learning how to use cameras and dictaphones to capture images and sounds around our environment. We will then be using the sounds and images to make our own brochures.
