I am the class teacher for Drake Class and our Learning Support Assistants are Mrs Tickell, Mrs Martin and Mrs Hickey. We'd like to welcome Mrs Hickey and Mrs Martin who are new to our class this term.
Last term we all had great fun learning about the Romans and enjoyed an educational visit to Butser Farm to round it all off. I would like to say thank you to all the parents and guardians who supplied Roman costumes for our Roman Day. The children looked amazing!
We all enjoyed the drama group that came in and we learned a lot more about debating.
This half terms topic is ‘Red Sky At Night’ The main focus of the topic is Geography. The children are all going to be investigating different places and their weather climates.
In ICT we are going to begin to use Pod casting and video techniques to create our own weather reports Lets hope we have lots of sun!
In PSHE we are going to be discussing what it feels like to be in some one else’s shoes and the influences that people from different cultures have.
Next half term’s topic will be ‘Sow ‘n’ Grow’ The main focus of the topic will be science and what plants need to grow and stay healthy. We will also be using our knowledge of Yateley and mapping skills.
