Welcome back to the Summer term of Year 5. What a busy last half term we had!! We managed to fit so much in to just five short weeks.

Some of our favourite things were:

Book Week

Making soup in our Design Technology lessons.

Science week – with amazing Science workshops, including VR headsets learning about the body and an amazing trip to a science show at Wellington College.

All of this was topped off with our trip to Winchester Science Centre.

This term we are going to be continuing reading The Explorer. In writing we are going to be writing our own missing chapter from Beowulf by Michael Morpurgo and then moving on to Kaspar Prince of Cat by Michael Morpurgo.

We also have our School residential to Runways End to look forward to in May, we will be having a meeting to explain what the children have to look forward to over the next few weeks. We will let you know a date for this via Class Dojo as soon as we can. There will also be some exciting visits to Wellington College for Low Ropes and Canoeing in the first few weeks of this term!
