Can You Help Us?

We are always very keen to receive support in school from parents or members of the community. This could range from listening to children read, sharing a particular area of knowledge or expertise with the pupils or helping with activities in class or around the school.

If you are interested in helping in school and hearing children read please see our handbook.

In order to safeguard our pupils, all volunteers must complete a DBS check to ensure their suitability to work with children.

Please contact us for more information.

Adopt-a-pot

We are very grateful to any families who can adopt a planter in our school grounds, planting it out and caring for it throughout their time at the school. Please ask in the office for details or speak to the Forest School lead Mrs Martin.

Reception Class Shrubbery
Most of the bushes by Reception Class have now been removed however if anybody has access to a little digger or knows some other way to help  us remove the roots, please do get in touch! Thank you!

Donations Request
We would be very grateful for any donations of wood for various projects around the school. We welcome any MDF or other wood. Perhaps you have an old piece of furniture you have taken apart?

Do you have any chess sets that you would be willing to donate to the school for our chess club. Complete sets with boards would be very welcome.

Did you get lots of new toys for Christmas? Not got room on the shelf and need a clear out? We are looking for donations of the following – new or used – for our new lunchtime ‘Mindfulness’ club:

• Lego / construction
• Uno or similar
• Playing cards
• Puzzles with 50 or 100 pieces
• Colouring pens that work well
• Craft activities
• Colouring books

Also, any games such as Frustration, Pictionary, Scrabble, etc.

Recycling
We have been working to improve our sustainability and are now recycling the following items:

  • Old pens
  • Used print cartridges. Please save any empties for us here and tell all your friends and workplaces too!
  • Used stamps which we collect for the Yateley Lions
  • Clothing (with collections twice each year - this can raise funds for the school)
