Pupil Premium & FSM

Pupil Premium Grant

In addition to general school funding, Cranford Park CE Primary School receives a Pupil Premium grant from Central Government each year for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals, or who has been eligible in the past 6 years, and also for any children who are, or have been, in the care of the local authority, as well as for service children. In 2022-23, the school received £1,385 for each eligible FSM pupil, rising to £1,455 in 2023-24 and £1480 in 2024-25. The government has now extended free school meal eligibility to include children in all households with no recourse to public funds (NRPF).

Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for ‘disadvantaged’ pupils in schools. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.

If you think your child may be eligible to receive pupil premium funding, we can carry out a quick check for you. Please contact the office in the strictest confidence so we can support you to access this funding for your child.
